Last minute entry for
(Please don't hate me, i ment to start earlier! TwT )
Anyways this picture has been on my mind for a while, and has a deep feeling to me. After this contest is over, i will rename it to it's proper name which is " Autumn: Season of Remembrance"
Autumn has always been my favorite season, it gives me this really warm, calm, indescribable feeling. But at the same time, it fills me with a sadness and a longing feeling for the past. It causes me to reminisce on memories, and it makes me realize how fast the years are going by. The season is bluntly showing the chages that are occuring in nature, and in my opinion the changes in ourselves and others. It's sad to think about, that everyone's changing, especially when you're someone who holds onto the past so much like me.
Anyways, this picture is simply showing Kurama and Hiei, each looking back at one of their own memories brought forth by the season. I made Hiei's memory being in Rui's arms right before being tossed from the glacial country and Kurama's memory being one of when he was younger with his mother durring autumn (he is most likely remembering this because he is grieving over how long he has been lieing to her.
I tried to emphasize the two memories by putting small light pink and blue bubbles around them ( like they do in some anime and manga) but they didn't turn out as good as i had wanted
Hopefully the point/feeling got across to you all anyways
P.S Just wanted to add that i am SO happy about how the coloring turned out! Usually when i try to scan stuff that i did with colored pencils, it turns out really faded and bad. But this acutually looks pretty good! ^w^ Also, i think i'm gonna start doing a small list of music that i listen to for insperation for all of my art pieces. For this one, the music list was:
1. My Funny Friend and Me -Sting
2. Reach for the light (Balto theme)
3. Where are you christmas -Faith Hill
That's all for now! Please comment if you get the chance! Like i've said before, you don't HAVE to and i'm not forcing you to, but they encourage me and they're always fun to read/reply too
